Author Guidelines

Journal of Economic Policies and Research (University of Kurdistan)

Dear Authors,

Thank you for choosing the Journal of Economic Policies and Research (University of Kurdistan). To expedite the peer-review process, please carefully read the manuscript preparation guide and comply with all stated requirements before submitting your paper. Please note that during the initial screening stage, manuscripts that do not follow these instructions will be returned to the author(s) for revision. In order to facilitate timely evaluation and publication, please observe the following points:

• Originality: The manuscript must present the results of the author’s (authors’) original research.
• Scope & Fit: The topic must fall within the field of economics and align with at least one of the journal’s aims and thematic areas.
• Publication Ethics: Authors must review the journal’s publication ethics policies prior to submission. Proven ethical misconduct in writing or reporting will result in rejection, and the misconduct case will be formally documented and reported via an official letter.
• Submission Method: Manuscripts can be submitted only through the journal’s online submission system on the University of Kurdistan journals portal.
• Communication & Follow-up: Manuscript follow-up is conducted exclusively through the submission system and the journal’s email. Authors are requested to refrain from phone calls.
• Concurrent Submissions (Same Author): Authors with a manuscript currently under review should not submit a new manuscript until a final decision has been issued for the ongoing submission.
• Annual Limit (Per Author): Only one manuscript per author will be reviewed and published each year.
• Corresponding Author Eligibility: The corresponding author must be a faculty member with an academic rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor).
• Corresponding Author Email: Submission must be made using an institutional/university email address.
• ORCID: All authors must have an ORCID iD.
• Funding Acknowledgement: If the research received financial support, acknowledgement of the sponsor is mandatory in the Acknowledgements section.
• Thesis/Dissertation or Funded Project Declaration: If derived from a thesis, dissertation, or funded research project, this must be stated in the main manuscript file (as a footnote) and in the Conflict of Interest form.
• Similarity Check System: For similarity checking, authors should use the Samim-Noor similarity-detection system. The journal will match the manuscript word count against the word count reported in the similarity report.
• References: DOI & URL: For every reference listed, provide the DOI and the URL (where available).
• Extended English Abstract: The extended English abstract must be prepared using an approved professional English editor.
• Editorial Edits: The journal’s editor is authorized to make literary and technical edits without altering the manuscript’s content.
• Fees: Initial screening, peer review, and publication are free of charge.
• Compliance: Failure to comply with the Author Guidelines will result in non-acceptance of the manuscript.

Required Files for Upload in the Submission System

To enable evaluation and peer review in the Journal of Economic Policies and Research, authors must upload the following documents under the “Add Files” section of the submission system. To ensure standardization and consistency, please use only the templates and forms provided on the journal’s website.

Important Note: Please prepare and submit your manuscript strictly in accordance with the manuscript preparation guide and the journal’s formatting and publication requirements.

Files Required at the Initial Submission Stage

(To download each file, click on “Download File” on the journal website.)

1. Main Manuscript File (Download Main Manuscript File):
   A complete manuscript without author names, prepared according to the Author Guidelines, submitted as a Microsoft Word file using the journal’s official article template. All instructional placeholder texts in the template must be removed and replaced with the actual manuscript content.
2. Authors’ Information Form (Download File):
   Includes accurate information for all authors in the same order as listed in the manuscript (name, affiliation, email address, and other required details).
3. Authors’ Undertaking Form (Download File):
   Includes the manuscript title, complete author details, and the signatures of all authors.
4. Conflict of Interest Form (Download File):
   Completed and signed by the corresponding author and uploaded simultaneously with the manuscript file.
5. Similarity Check Report File (Link):
   Must include the similarity-checked version of the main manuscript along with the official certificate/report, obtained directly from the Samim-Noor similarity-checking system and submitted as provided by the system.
