Abstract

The aim of the present quantitative and applied research, which was carried out with a combination of descriptive-analytical and correlational methods, is to analyze employment indicators in the rural sector of 31 provinces of Iran. The required data was obtained from the Iranian Statistics Center. The results of the Mabak model showed that in terms of employment indicators, the three provinces of Zanjan, Ardabil and Qazvin ranked first to third and third respectively with a final score of 0.3337, 0.2373 and 0.232. The provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan, Kohgiluyeh, Boyer Ahmad and Kerman have the lowest ranks with final scores of -0.3788, -0.318 and -0.218 respectively. The results of spatial distribution of employment indicators showed that if we divide the entire country into two parts, northern and southern, the northern half of the country is in a better situation than the southern half in terms of having employment indicators. The results of Pearson's correlation coefficient showed that there is a statistically significant and negative relationship between Iran's provinces having employment indicators and the distance from the center variable at the 99% confidence level. Giving priority to the deprived provinces of the country through effective investment and support in the direction of sustainable employment generation is the most important policy recommendation of the present study.
